OVERVIEW

PTS' Remote Cash Register software allows your court to receive payments from locations other than the courthouse. A situation in which this would be helpful is a scenario in which someone receives a citation on Sunday but the court is closed on weekends. Ordinarily, he would have to wait until the court opens to pay the citation, but with Remote Payment, he can go to any pay station (such as the police department) and pay the citation immediately. Cashiers at remote stations can also accept payments on citations that have already been through the court process.

When someone pays on a citation at a remote station, the clerk enters the amount and details and later transfers the record and funds to the courthouse. When the clerk selects the appropriate citation codes,the total of corresponding fines is calculated automatically.

The clerk issues a payment receipt like this one to the citation payer.	When closing out the drawer, the clerk sets the criteria to run a Drawer report which displays details of all transactions that have occurred since the last Drawer Report was processed.
